As my ideal student you would be at an intermediate level and wanting to learn how music really works, not reading the music and playing it note-for-note but truly understanding how it functions, how it feels, how to use your abilities and how to recreate the sound you hear in your head. Have you ever wondered how musicians seem to just know what to play and pick up a song instantly? Have you wondered how jazz musicians invent a complicated solo that's different every time. It's no secret and with a proper explanation and a little time you'll be able to do it yourself. I regularly play jazz live in various different bands, some rehearsed, some ad hoc, and can provide opportunities to play with other musicians and take your talent and experience to the next level. I have no formal qualifications and am not interested in exams but I have a wealth of experience and knowledge which is all yours.
